Day 29 - Back on the Oscillator
Thursday, January 28th, 2020 Morning: Today we celebrate James being 4 weeks old and 30 weeks gestational. This morning, weighing in at 2 lbs (925 grams), our little guy is making excellent progess... But we are still on this roller coaster ride, so he had a minor setback this morning. Due to the O2 levels wavering and being unstable, the steroid ending yesterday, the doctor doesn't like the trends that James is showing. So Baby James is now back on the oscillator. Stats of this morning: Amplitude 26 Pressure 14.5 FiO2 52% Photo: Oscillator Every setback pays the way for a comeback. As long as Baby James continues to accept his feed, he will keep growing. With growth and time, his long development will follow suit. The next four weeks will be filled with more ups and downs and many other small wins. Mom and Dad will continue to "hurry up and wait".
