Day 763 - Stacking Towers 🧱 & the Building Blocks of Puzzle Play 🧩

Wednesday, February 1st, 2023 Today James learned how to stack towers! He's been really into the knocking phase for a while. James used the mega bloks and connected a ton of them together instead of just knocking them down. During early intervention therapy we also had him stack a tower with his Lovevery cups. 🧱 In addition, James is making great progress with his puzzles. He now can put all of the puzzle pieces like farm animals and vehicles back into their correct spots without any help. Around 2-3 years of age is when the building begins. This stage, known as the stacking, rows and towers or repetition stage, is when you will see them line up the blocks. They may stack them one on top of the other for a vertical tower. Or lay them out on the floor in rows, either vertical or horizontal. There will be many repetitions in their "building."
