Day 665 - Emergency Trach Change ⚠️ & James Meets Up with Friends at the Park 🏞️

Wednesday, October 26th, 2022 So last night we had a scare. James needed a large increase in oxygen. We went from 0 to .75. Mom posted the following (pretty late) in the Mom of Trach Babies FB group to get some answers... "*Tobramycin (Tobi)* - So we just started Tobi last Thursday (28 days on and 28 days off) as a preventative antibiotic due to him getting trach infections every month and needing Cipro. Ever since we started we have been getting a ton of secretions, like we are suctioning more than ever. Normally James is off of oxygen during the day and on most nights. Well tonight he dipped into the '80s and I did all the things... changed the pulse ox probe 3x, switched to a different pulse oximeter (same read on different device), suctioned but no secretions, vented his G-tube, emergency trach change (no mucus plug). So I ended up increasing his oxygen from nothing to .75 liters. I know it may not seem like a lot but it just doesn't make any sense. Has anyone else ha...
