Day 758 - On the Road to Atlanta ๐ฃ๏ธ ๐

Friday, January 27th, 2023 ๐ ๐งผ ๐ซง In the morning we gave James a bath because we knew it would be a long day in the car. We also did his trach change since the previous Friday it was done in the hospital. Normally we would do it on Wednesdays, but our schedule has been off since the cruise. Dad brought his bathing suit so he got in the tub with James to hold him. He splashed like crazy, James that is. The trickiest part about doing a trach change while traveling is drying the trach. You do not want to put a wet trach into a plastic bag, where it is normally stored. We always dry our trach by putting it in a plastic bucket with a bunch of paper towels and let it air dry. We did not have that option since we needed to get in the car, so we carefully had the trach drying in an open bucket in an open bag. ๐ ๐ฃ๏ธ We left around 12pm and had what turned out to be an 8 hour drive to Atlanta, including a few stops.
