Day 472 - Juju's Puppet Shows & Puppy Time

Image
Saturday, April 16th, 2022 Dad left for a hotel to relax before his trip to New Jersey. James spent the day with Mom, Juju, and Aunt Robin getting puppet shows, visits from the dogs, and exploring new toys (well they're Mom's old toys!). Juju and Aunt Robin helped Mom with trach care and a bath in the evening. P.S. Do you follow James' journey? James would love to read an email from you. His email is JamesWestonAbramowitz@gmail.com. How heartwarming for him to receive these and fun for you to get a response from him in like 10 years...

Day 471 - On the Road Again

Image
Friday, April 15th, 2022 Today we headed to Jacksonville. Dad has a trip planned in New Jersey to see family and kids flying out of Jacksonville so he could drop off Mom and James at Juju's. We got in pretty late! The rule is to never wake a sleeping baby. Well he ended up waking up, so we did trach care around 12am. P.S. Do you follow James' journey? James would love to read an email from you. His email is JamesWestonAbramowitz@gmail.com. How heartwarming for him to receive these and fun for you to get a response from him in like 10 years...

Day 470 - Shaving Down the Helmet Again

Image
Thursday, April 14th, 2022 We went in for the helmet appointment and she shaved down some more in those 2 spots. It was very apparent James wore the helmet last night for sleep. The spots were very red. 😥 We will see if this fixes it! Mom tried to find out where she can purchase James' new formula (photo below). It seems as though this is prescription only. We are waiting to hear if our DME supplier will be able to ship this to us. It will probably take weeks to hear from them, as always. P.S. Do you follow James' journey? James would love to read an email from you. His email is JamesWestonAbramowitz@gmail.com. How heartwarming for him to receive these and fun for you to get a response from him in like 10 years...

Day 469 - James Isn't Feeling Well 🤧

Image
Wednesday, April 13th, 2022 James isn't feeling well. Not sure if it's allergies or if he's sick. He has a constant runny nose, red watery eyes, super irritable, slight fever. We bought some children's Claritin. He had so much mucus earlier he almost threw up. Mom contacted the pediatrician office by sending them a message through the online portal. Since Monday night James has had a runny nose, red watery eyes, and seems congested. I am wondering if this is allergies or if he is sick. I have been giving him Tylenol. Am I able to give him children's Claritin? Or are we able to set up a telehealth appointment? James has never had anything ever come out of his nose, so he is not tolerating this at all. I've been trying to suction. Unfortunately we never heard back. Seems like their online portal is kinda pointless. Mom ended up giving him some Claritin and based the dosage given to her by another Trach Mom.  On another note, James really liked watching the Cardina...
