The Journey of James Weston

Tuesday, April 19th, 2022 James watched Tommy do tricks for treats. He enjoyed a puppet show from Juju and cuddled with Aunt Robin while he had a break from the helmet. Every morning Mom moves James from the Pack N Play to the chair where he takes his morning nap. You have to quickly disconnect his circuit from the ventilator, pick him up out of the Pack N Play and then pull the circuit out of the netting to reconnect. We do this because we cut a hole through the Pack N Play netting to prevent rainout (drowning).  Just learned to clap this week! Tommy trying to figure out how to steal the pacifier! Monday, April 18th, 2022 Mom, Dad, Juju, and Aunt Robin took James to the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. Dad carried James this time and we ended up needing to remove the helmet. The highlight of the day was that James was able to get very close to the giraffes. They actually let you feed them. We are not there yet! We're still working on giving the dogs treats. 😂 James was exhausted after a long day!  Before we left the house, Mom took a few pictures of the new vent setup so we would not forget how we bungee corded everything. What we did differently this time was put the ventilator on a cutting board so that it laid flat on its back. Last time we had the ventilator on its side in the cart and that may have caused some issues internally. Photos below. P.S. Do you follow James' journey? James would love to read an email from you. Sunday, April 17th, 2022 James had a good Easter with Aunt Taylor, Uncle Mark, and Cousin Makenzie visiting for the holiday!  Fixing his eye and his head at the same time! He found his sound machine! Saturday, April 16th, 2022 Dad left for a hotel to relax before his trip to New Jersey. James spent the day with Mom, Juju, and Aunt Robin getting puppet shows, visits from the dogs, and exploring new toys (well they're Mom's old toys!).
