Day 566 - Emergency Evacuation ☣️, Allergic Reaction 🥵, & Packing up for the ER 🚑

Image
Tuesday, July 19th, 2022 Emergency Evacuation ☣️ The A/C guy came at 8:30am and about 20 minutes later he comes running down the stairs saying, "You need to get the baby out of the house now. We have a freon leak". Mom responded, "He is on a ventilator with oxygen!", letting him know this is huge deal and it's going to take a while. The A/C guy looked shocked as he didn't realize what we all had going on. He reiterated that we need to get him out. Mom's immediate thought was how is going to affect the oxygen tanks? Not only do we have a large oxygen concentrator and an oxygen tank in the living room but we have eight more oxygen tanks in a closet underneath the stairs. 😱 There wasn't any time to discuss the dangers of freon and ask questions. We needed to just take the advice of the professional and evacuate. Mom immediately went into Dad's home office interrupting his speech saying, "We need to get James out of the house, it's an emerg...

Day 565 - Finally Transferring GI Medical Records 📠

Image
Monday, July 18th, 2022 Juju, Aunt Robin, Champ & Tommy visit tomorrow. Today we had one of the squirrels come right up to the window.  Today Mom had to deal with the GI office in transferring James' medical records by fax to the new office. This unfortunately involved 3 phone calls and 5 emails from 11:30am to 5:30pm. Complete incompetence. They finally emailed a confirmation receipt saying they confirmed they faxed everything over, except the problem was the attachment was another patient's records with their SSN and everything showing. 😳 Hoping to get switch to the other office asap! Tomorrow we are supposed to have another A/C guy come out and clean the coils to make sure we don't have any mold in the unit before installing the new padding and carpet. Today would be the calm before the storm! P.S. You can email James your love and support as often as you’d like. Mom and Dad read these email to James as they come in. We all love them! Day 564 - Fancy Brunch 🥐🍳& Mall Returns! 👕💉

Image
Sunday, July 17th, 2022 ✔️ Brunch at a fancy hotel 🍳👨🏼‍🍳🥐🥓🥞🍍 We took James to a hotel on the bay that had an amazing buffet. James had tastes of mango 🥭 and pineapple🍍. He eventually fell asleep since it was in the middle of his nap time. Mom changed his diaper in the handicap stall of a women's restroom since there was not a family restroom. Needless to say it was a big ideal. Trying to open three of the heaviest doors in the world and pushing through an extra long double stroller. Then dealing with five different cords and tubing while James is getting stronger kicking and sliding all over. Afterwards we took a rest in the lounge area to charge up some equipment before making our way outside. Dad wanted to show us this wonderful scenery he found on a stroll he once had. The temperature was around 107°.  ✔️Trip to the mall to make a return 👕☕💊 🧢💉 We took James to the International Mall again since we needed to do something indoors due to the heat and daily thundersto...

Day 563 - Storage Glow up ✨, Shoes 👟, & Working Out With James, Literally 💪

Image
Saturday, July 16th, 2022 Mom popped by Ikea and reorganized James' toy shelf with some shelf inserts. His room which is essentially out living room is 90% ICU and 10% Playroom. His storage closet which is full of supplies was also improved with some bigger storage bins (Drona). We highly recommend the Ikea Kallax Shelf Units. We have 4 throughout the house.  James spent the majority of the day with Dad trying on socks to make sure we had some that fit. It's Florida and with BPD James doesn't wear socks, but Mom was out buying a pair of shoes for James. His first pair! The physical therapist recommended that we get a hard sole shoe for James to try standing in. His foot measured an adorable 4.5 inches. Mom ended up finding 2 pairs on sale Sizes 4 & 5. 👟 They are probably still too small but Size 3 shoes do not exist with hard soles. Baby shoes are soft like socks. James is a Baby Toddler. P.S. You can email James your love and support as often as you’d like. Mom and Da...
