Sunday, December 25th, 2022 James had his first real Christmas! He opened gifts, went through several outfit changes, and danced to every song that played.  Aunt Taylor and Uncle Mark enjoying quality time with James. He was obsessed with the huge light! P.S. Saturday, December 24th, 2022 James has been doing so well scooting on his butt! He typically uses his right hand to balance and moves along using his heels on the ground. James has now scooted across the living room! His favorite thing right now is opening and shutting the plantation shutters at Juju's. James also has some adorable Christmas pajamas! He is now stocked up for the season! Of course we need to bring his ukulele with us on the trip. James is in a phase right now where he only wants certain toys. However he is very good about understanding that sometimes we need to do something first before we play. Referring to either diaper changes, G-tube care, or trach care. P.S. Friday, December 23rd, 2022 Today Mom took James for some errands. This was the first time we were able to just casually get out of the house without going to meet someone or for an appointment. We went to target to do a return and look at James some warmer clothes with the temperature dropping into the 20's for Christmas. James will be decked out in his tropical beachwear for the cruise. After stopping at Starbucks of course we headed home to finish packing. Later in the evening we would make the trip to Jacksonville. P.S. Thursday, December 22nd, 2022 James had physical therapy today in his nursery upstairs. There wasn't a lot of room downstairs since Mom started packing for our trip to Jacksonville for Christmas as well as our Disney Cruise only a few days after. So if you didn't know Dad booked a Disney Cruise about a month ago. It will be our first family vacation. Lots of research went into it since we would need special services. Getting oxygen approved was the main thing.  ... Back to PT. Our therapist was impressed with James scooting on his bottom. This week on Monday, Wednesday and today James increased the distance each time! He really isn't trying to scoot on his back anymore. In order to stop him doing that Mom would pick him up immediately, James would then throw a fit but eventually he learned just not to do it. P.S. Wednesday, December 21st, 2022 Mom is currently on the hunt for a new GI Doctor. She reached out to a few FB groups for recommendations in Orlando and Jacksonville. She actually joined a new Facebook group called "Pediatric Feeding/GI Difficulty Parents of FL". Facebook groups are amazing for medical moms. We received 34 responses with recommendations!
