Day 899 - Hitting the Road: Our Family's Travel Week 1 🛣️ (FL, GA, TN, KY, IN, OH)

Sunday, June 11th, 2023 - Saturday, June 17th, 2023 First week of our 3-week roadtrip  Sunday was just a day of packing. James tried chicken for the first time. More playing with it than eating. On Monday morning Mom had an ultrasound appointment and received the continued good news that our baby girl is right on track and everything looks good. Heartbeat is 158 BPM. She was moving around so much it was hard for the tech to get a good picture.  Monday - FL 🚗 GA We started on the road around 4:30pm and just wanted to drive a few hours. We ended up in Tifton, GA. Let's just say it was only to sleep. 😂 Originally we wanted to make it to Macon but we also needed to get to the hotel by 8pm to start his nighttime routine and Mom also needed to do her Lovenox shot at the same time every night. Day 892 - G-tube Success, Photoshoot, & Climbing McGee!

Sunday, June 4th, 2023 - Saturday, June 10th, 2023 🐟 On family day we took James to the Florida Aquarium. It is free on the first Sunday of the month for Bank of America members. We only recommend going if you can go for free. The plan was to get photos of James with his "Big Brother" t-shirt on but we just couldn't get a good one where you could read the shirt. 👏🏻 Monday morning we started feeding James in his stomach (G-tube) but connected to a Farrell bag. So the feeding tube was connected at the Y-port. It's important to prime the Farrell bag first and then the extension. As well as hang the Farrell bag higher than the feeding pump and keep the Y-port below or at stomach level. What's does that mean? It just isn't easy to have James move around with so many restrictions. Sometimes it required Mom to use the 3-tiered Ikea cart to hang the Farrell bag from the IV pole.
