Facebook Post #2: Baby James Update

First - We are overwhelmed with gratitude with how many of our friends and family sent their love and support. It’s been remarkable and we are truly blessed with having so many great people surrounding us. ❤️

Second - Lindsay and I started a daily log with what’s happening with Baby James. We love having people text us asking how things are, truly, and we are also getting slightly overwhelmed having to explain the situation repeatedly. This daily log/blog, will be the best place to visit first. Lindsay very much appreciates all of the ladies who have reached out to her with pumping tips and suggestions as well as those who have shared their personal and positive NICU stories. It’s so important to be able to relate right now. Sometimes talking to a stranger who has gone through the same situation means more than anything to her. Please keep that up! 👏

The most meaningful texts to us will be something like - “I saw on the blog that James winked, so cute!” - this shows us that you’re with us on this journey, while also honoring our energy to not feel required to respond to the daily question of “how are things going?” - it’s a great question, it’s just loaded and emotional to respond to since things evolve by the day (sometimes the hour).  🙏

I’ll post the link in the comments for the blog.  It’s called “The Journey of James Weston.” We have been posting daily and would LOVE to have you on this journey with us.

Third - We had several people ask about a baby registry (again, so grateful for you!) so with help from some special people, we’ve been able to update one.

If you’d like to pick anything out, we truly appreciate whatever you choose. We have a bit of time before James will be joining us at home (original due date is April 8th), so there’s not too much urgency.

At some point, we want to fully celebrate bringing Baby James into this world. Right now, there’s still lots of cautious optimism (you can check out the blog with the details). All of the ups and downs daily will be worth of a celebration ... believe me!!

For now, Here’s a video from yesterday capturing Baby James opening his right eye for the first time. (So cute).  This is all so new for myself and Lindsay and we are being as present with each moment as we can.

P.S. If you would like to send anything to Lindsay or myself, please contact Douglas Sanson for our information that you might need. 🙏 His cell is: (727) 744-4861
