Day 727 - James Goes Shopping 🛍️ with Mom & Aunt Robin

Tuesday, December 27th, 2022

Today was it busy day for James. First he had a puppet show from Juju. James decided that he would try and stand up in the high chair. We love his desire to go but also keep a very close eye on him and he tries to do some Cirque du Soleil! James did quite a bit of tummy time today reaching for things. It really helps when he is using the arm of a chair or someone's leg to get in that tummy time position.

Mom and Aunt Robin took James for a drive and made a stop at hobby lobby for some craft supplies for our Disney Cruise. Yes did you know that decorating your stateroom door is a whole thing! Aunt Robin is also going to help us with her cricut by making some Disney/Marvel t-shirts. We also went to the St Johns Town Center to stop by Nordstrom's so Mom could find a fancy gown for Dad's upcoming Cutco sales banquet at the end of the year. This was James' first time in a fitting room! 😂 We did some exchanges and then got home pretty late. Oh and we found a dress! Thank goodness Aunt Robin was there to help Mom make decisions!

We also wanted to show you our setup now that James is sleeping upstairs with Mom and Dad. Normally what we've been doing is having one of us sleep downstairs in the living room on the couch while James was in his Pack N play. The reason being was because James was on the vent 24/7. The ventilator was strapped to a three-tiered cart on wheels holding the humidification chamber, the pulse ox machine, and the suction machine (that's just the main equipment). Bringing that up and down the stairs would have been ridiculous. But since James is now only on the ventilator at night all we had to do was bring the cart up the stairs (while it was empty) ONCE. Now the cart and all of his equipment stayed in the bedroom. He currently is on three nebulizer treatments (albuterol, pulmicort, Tobramycin) that have to be given while he is on the ventilator. So we do that right before he goes to bed and right when he wakes up. Then we bring him downstairs and he is mainly equipment free. Just has his feeding pump, Farrel bag, and pulse ox. Yes to us that is almost equipment free! 😂

P.S. You can email James your love and support as often as you’d like. Mom and Dad read these email to James as they come in. We all love them! JamesWestonAbramowitz@gmail.com
