Day 743 - Disembarkation Day 🚢⚓, Driving Back to Tampa 🚗, & Disney Springs 🛍️

Today was the last day James would be on Tobramycin for his 28 day treatment. Mom and Dad was really looking forward to eliminating Toby and Albuterol in his twice-daily nebulizer treatments. He did not have a fever today.
Dad was running some errands in the morning on the ship. He started James' nebulizer treatments (which currently take an hour) because he knows mom is not a morning person. He went down to guest services to get the final bill, return the extension cord, and then went to Shutters to go pick up our printed photos. We had two photos printed; the ones with Goofy and Pluto. It's really important that if you wanted to purchase any of the photos that you download them the night before. Once you leave the cruise they're not accessible. Dad also found out that the buffet was open for breakfast and was able to bring food back to the room. Score! Much better than our fruit bowl from room service.
We actually didn't take any photos at all in the morning of us getting off the ship. It was early! Everyone had a tag with a character on it and ours was Daisy Duck. Daisy Duck was called around 8:15am to get off the ship. The process was fairly smooth, although our oxygen concentrator kept falling off the stroller so we had to move very slow. Everyone was walking around us, understandably. When we finally made it to the ground floor we needed to go find our luggage. Dad asked if there was someone that could help us and was a man right there ready to go with a luggage dolly. He loaded our 3 suitcases and then we had to stand in a very long line to go through "customs" but there wasn't any security. This man just waited with our luggage until we went through the line. Then we walked over to the parking garage. He warned us not to use the elevator since it he had been stuck in it before. So instead Dad pulled the car around to the street.
Dad wanted to continue the vacation and said that it wasn't over since we didn't spend the full budget he had in mind. We got a big discount on the cruise by being Florida residents and having Disney+. So after discussing a couple options we headed to Disney Springs since it was kind of on the way. We ate lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. James got to experience the thunderstorm with all of the animals. Then we did some shopping and James got to go on a carousel again. This time we have photos and video. We made a pretty long day of it and James never had an nap. At 5:30pm James fell asleep in the stroller. We made it home around 9pm. It was a packed day and busy week! We'll be back in Orlando on Wednesday to see family.
"You get twenty - four hours a day and I get twenty - four hours a day. Nobody gets more. It doesn’t matter how much money you have; you still get only twenty - four hours. It doesn’t matter how well you kick a football or who your parents are; you still get just twenty - four hours. Equality. But some people do an awful lot more with their twenty - four hours than others do." -Matthew Kelly
P.S. You can email James your love and support as often as you’d like. Mom and Dad read these email to James as they come in. We all love them! JamesWestonAbramowitz@gmail.com
