Day 830 - James Loves His New House! 🏡 🤣

The hotel was very accommodating with our ice pack situation. They actually kept our entire lunch box and all of our ice packs in their employee freezer. 🧊 It was definitely a small town feel! A guy that worked at the hotel counter suggested that we not moved to the area because it's too expensive. It's funny because most people will tell you not to move where they live. 🤷🏻♀️ James' treatments took another hour in the morning. When he is using a trach mask he has to lay down and be very still. This works great in the evenings when he falls asleep, but in the morning he is ready to go. James would like to sit up and he would like the TV on since there is a huge one right in front of his face. He wanted to know where the remote control was so he could get started on his morning cartoons. 📺
Last night at the hotel Mom found a few houses online that seemed to check our boxes. We ended up scheduling 3 showings with a Realtor that was assigned to us through Zillow. They were all over the places driving an hour to one and then back past another to drive another hour. It wasn't setup very efficiently. However it was nice of the realer to show us three homes on Easter Sunday. She ended up bringing her mother with her since they had an Easter dinner in the middle of the day. The 2nd house we saw was amazing and it had almost everything we wanted, except we were going to need to build a pool and it was an hour from a hospital. James scooted around the kitchen and seemed very happy with what he saw! 😂 We told the realtor we wanted to make an offer. She said we just need to check with the city tomorrow to see if that was allowed since the backyard was small.
James did great in the car though even though it seems like he was throwing a tantrum. He's really just getting used to being able to speak, so he is yelling a lot! Since James is capped he has air moving through his vocal cords and is able to vocalize a lot more. When he is just wearing an HME he is only breathing through his trach out of his neck and the air is not passing through his vocal cords so it is not as loud. Today James sported his Easter shirt from Buc-ee's!
