Monday, August 29th, 2022 Peek-A-Boo never gets old with James! 🫣 It's his absolute favorite game and creates instant smiles from him! He also loves to pretend he is in Cirque du Soleil so now we can't walk away from him for a second. James has attempted to go head first off anything whether it be a chair or bed. He is so fast now that with only two little kicks of his legs he is hanging off the edge. In the last photo/GIF, Mom caught James scooting on his back almost off the bed. When he is on the floor he can't really go much farther because of the ventilator circuit. In the evening, Dad came home and surprised James when we woke up from a nap. He also had done some clothes shopping for James on his time off and scored some good deals. Definitely unexpected! 👕🩳 P.S. You can email James your love and support as often as you’d like. Sunday, August 28th, 2022 Today was laundry day meaning that James is out of clothes so he was stuck wearing random things. We started in his Buc-ee boxers (Yes, the gas station) and a blue kimono top. Well we ended up going through 3 blue kimono tops before this white one. His G-tube has been leaking a lot. Hence the laundry. James colored in his coloring book and then tried coloring on Mom's cell phone case. He also played with his car and this was the first time he tried putting the cars at the top to race down the track. James had been scooting around recently and we finally got it recorded of him doing a 180° turn! Everything is really clicking for him now. He is accomplishing a lot of new things daily. 🥰 In the evening we video chatted with Juju and Aunt Robin again. James had a virtual puppet show and he tried passing the ball through the tablet to play. It looked pretty legit since they had the same ball on the other side. #Magic 🪄✨ P.S. Saturday, August 27th, 2022 Today James helped Mom build a small linen closet for his towels, sheets, and blankets. He is.so fast at getting the washer off the back of the screw in his tool bench. He really does not like when the toy is out together. James needs everything apart! 🤣 After 34 pieces of wood (and that's not including any of the nails, dowels, lock nuts, cam screw fasteners) and nap, we finished. But of course we ended up with an extra screw! 😂 Overall we highly recommend this piece of furniture from Amazon. It is heavy duty. P.S. Friday, August 26th, 2022 Dad left in the afternoon to take a mini staycation and would return on Monday. We did an early bath and trach care before he left. We have to take turns getting breaks, but someday soon we would like to try and vacay somewhere as a family. The tricky thing is without a way to transport the 3 tiered cart in the car there isn't a way to setup his equipment (easily). You may be thinking well if you guys go to the mall and the zoo then how does that work? Well that is because James is in the stroller and he would be restricted to staying in the stroller (in a hotel room for example) AND ALSO he is on temporary humidification called an HME while out of the house. He should not be on this for a long time which is why when he is home he is switched over to a humidification chamber which requires us to set up the ventilator differently then when we are traveling. We are thinking possibly about getting an attachment to our stroller, a glider board for toddler'...
