The Journey of James Weston

Tuesday, October 25th, 2022 During James' morning care Mom showed him how to use a brush. [Video below] He immediately copied her and did it himself. James has also been really good about brushing his teeth 🪥 and has no oral aversion. Later on in physical therapy we focused on giving James the freedom to scoot around the house on his own while he was disconnected from the vent. His favorite is pulling himself underneath furniture. 🤦🏻‍♀️ He is very fast and pushed himself lying on his side about 15 feet across the floor. Monday, October 24th, 2022 In the morning we had Early Intervention, but unfortunately it was the same time as when James goes down for a nap. He takes one look at the therapist and puts in his pacifier and throws a bean bag over his eyes. 😆 Before therapy Mom showed James one of his new toys, which was a school bus filled with eggs that match up different shapes and colors. Each egg also has a different emotion and a deck of card underneath the bus so later on James can match those up too. It is a very open ended toy. Every time James would make a match he would look around at us, smile, and clap. 🥰 In the evening, James had green beans which to be honest tasted very plain but he loved them!  P.S. Sunday, October 23rd, 2022 James spent the day with Dad while Mom stepped out of the house. Lots of play time on the floor! Reading is his favorite! 📖 So excited! Saturday, October 22nd, 2022 We started off the morning putting James in flannel plaid because it had been chilly this week, but it was short lived due to Florida not really having a Fall. 🥵  The plan for today was to stop by a pumpkin patch and then visit the Padron family. Unfortunately the pumpkin patch was very underwhelming. Just a parking lot with some pumpkins and hay. Not really accessible with a stroller either. The photos on their Facebook page was false advertising, so after about 30 seconds we decided to leave. 🎃 When we first arrived at Uncle Dr David's parent's home James was overstimulated with the new environment and people and started crying. This time it did not take James very long for him to calm down. James was very fond of David and Abuela Padron! She made us an amazing meal while James took a nap on the couch even while the TV was playing.
