The Journey of James Weston

Tuesday, December 13th, 2022 James had therapy in the morning and he showed her his new skill of sitting up and playing the piano. He is currently obsessed that this Baby Einstein piano has legs that he never knew about. It's a whole new toy now! Overall James has been doing really good with sitting up for long periods of time instead of wanting to be on his back lying down. He really does love music and keeps switching between the "guitar", pianos, and xylophones. 🎹 🎸 Mom gave James some prune puree for dinner and he loved it. Unfortunately it immediately poured out of his stoma and filled up his shirt. It was a massive mess! It is so frustrating to have a child who wants to eat by mouth and yet it won't stay in their stomach. We feel kinda hopeless with trying to transition eating from his J back into his G if it's just going to be like this everyday. 😥 We need to find a new GI Doctor who will help us STAT.  Check out James' prune goatee 🧔🏻‍♂️ and a pho...

Monday, December 12th, 2022 James tried some of Mom's roasted red pepper soup and really enjoyed it. He had peas for dinner and that might be his favorite vegetable! Now when we say James is having dinner we mean that he is having an ice cube size amount of "tastes". Any more than that and it will come right out of his stoma! Since his formula goes directly into his intestine he also doesn't really feel the difference between having an empty or full stomach. His stomach is always empty. P.S. Sunday, December 11th, 2022 Super busy day! A gazillion photos and videos!  First James started off the day with Mom giving him his favorite vanilla Greek yogurt! [Video] Then we headed off to the zoo but had no idea that it would be lit up for Christmas! They did an amazing job with the lights and holiday entertainment. James could not get over the giraffes and the elephants. [Video] We think because these are animals that he recognizes often and they are just so big! We made the 4:30 gift giving show with the chimpanzees. Dad carried James majority of the day in the baby carrier facing out, so James could get really good views of the animals. James still has quite a few pounds to go to max out the weight limit on the carrier. James went on his first carousel ride with Dad! 🎠 He did cry for the first three loops but then he calmed down and enjoyed it. Dad had him sit on the horse and everything!
