Day 841 - Ukulele Love ❣️ & Trach Care Photography 📸

Image
Thursday, April 20, 2023 James started off the morning playing with his big bin of play food and then he did really well with physical therapy. James is really making a lot of progress with PT. Afterwards he was so tired so Mom took him upstairs to nap in a darker room that has darkening blinds. He woke up from his nap stretching and then wanted to scoot into Dad's office downstairs. His favorite toy is still his Baby Einstein Ukulele.  In the evening, Mom took some photos of Dad changing James' trach ties since this is some of the last trach cares we will do. James wanted to help and always knows where the camera is. P.S. You can email James your love and support as often as you’d like. Mom and Dad read these email to James as they come in. Day 840 - Fresh Haircut 💇🏻‍♂️ & Blocks in the Bath 🛀🏻

Wednesday, April 19th, 2023 Since we didn't have therapy today James ran some errands with Mom. We actually scheduled an appointment for James to get another haircut. We wanted to make sure he looked fresh for his to decannulation next week. It was one of the best haircuts he has had so far, because the hair stylist and knew how to distract him. Obviously his cousin gave him his best haircut ever! 😘 James was fine until Mom took him out of the stroller, then he just started screaming bloody murder. 😱 The only thing that calmed him down was when the stylist put on cocomelon. It's not ideal but it will distract James from anything. She finished up with the majority of his haircut with James being a good boy. There's a short video of James below of him just screaming in the car while Mom is parked in the parking lot filling out some paperwork. James is just testing out his lungs and wants to see how loud he can get! 🗣️ The hospital call today for registration next week! Thi...

Day 839 - James Rocks PT 🤸🏻‍♂️💪🏻🦵🏻🏆

Tuesday, April 18th, 2023 James made huge improvements today in PT. It was the most active he has been thus far! He scooted over to the stairs and started reaching to pull himself up on his own. James climbed the most stairs up he has ever done! At first everytime he reached a step he kept his head down and was trying to like roll up the step (yeah that wasn't going to work). The therapist showed him that if he lifted up his head he could reach for the next higher step. James went up like 7 steps and the therapist also showed him how to get down safely on each one. It was a huge win! Not only did he physically do it but he wanted to and initiated it! The other thing in PT where we are making huge strides is James learning how to use both arms to get down off of a cushion or chair instead of sliding on his butt. James is now doing this on his own without being told! Unfortunately we don't have any pictures during PT because it is nearly impossible to work with him and play photo...

Day 838 - Tantrum Twos! ✌🏻

Image
Monday, April 17th, 2023 James had early intervention therapy 🤸🏻‍♂️ in the morning and it was the first time this therapist got to see him scooting around with his backpack. He was also pretty vocal yelling at the top of his lungs! 🗣️  James spent some time upstairs after therapy. In the main photo it looks like he is telling Mom to "stop". 😂 Oh boy, here we go! His favorite activity currently is throwing all of his toys on the floor and then wanting them picked up! 🤰🏻 Mom got positive news today from her blood test that her HSG number was 135! James' first number was 137 so we are pretty happy with that! 👍🏻 Seeing a show he likes Throwing a tantrum because the show ended Cuddles 🤗 P.S.
